At the Vineyard we love God and we love people, so we believe that helping people with their practical needs is a great way to show love.
“Olive Branch” is the umbrella name we’ve given to everything we do that branches out into the community.
Community Café
What is it?
The Olive Branch Community Café is a safe, friendly space where you can connect with others. Our team love to chat, so if you’re struggling to make ends meet and you’re looking for some practical support, or you just fancy a free frothy coffee and some company, you are welcome. You can also collect your pre-booked foodbank parcel from here.
When and where is it?
Owlsmoor Community Centre, Yeovil Road, Sandhurst, GU47 0TF
1pm – 2pm every Monday (except Bank Holidays)
Crowthorne Foodbank
How do I get a foodbank voucher?
Our foodbank is part of the Trussel Trust network, so you can ask any local agency you’re connected with for a referral, such as your child’s school or pre-school, your GP, a social worker or health visitor, Citizens Advice or your Housing Association.
If you’re struggling to get hold of a professional, and you don’t have a voucher, please come along to the Community Café anyway and we will try to help.
Growbaby Café
What is it?
Growbaby Café is a welcoming, inclusive space for families to come with babies and children under 5, meet some other parents and sit down with a hot drink while the children play.
Our friendly team love to chat, so even if you don’t know anyone before you come, you soon will. We can also connect you with practical support, including foodbank or First Days children’s charity, should you need it.
When and where is it?
We meet at The Vineyard Centre, 25 Wellington Business Park, Crowthorne, RG45 6LS
10.30am – 12pm on Wednesday mornings during term-time
Kids Matter & Babies Matter
Parenting is hard! And even more so if you’re anxious about money or you experienced difficulties in your own childhood.
Kids Matter is a free, friendly group for parents with children under 10 years old. We meet around a table with coffee and cake, for 6 weeks, and look at how to build strong families and help our children thrive. We also look at how to take care of our own wellbeing. We offer a free creche during the sessions, so parents can relax and focus on the group discussion.
Babies Matter is a free, friendly group for parents expecting their first child and new parents with a baby up to 9 months. Families come in all shapes and sizes, so whether you’re single, a couple or your relationship is complicated, you are welcome. Each week we think about how to look after our own wellbeing, how to strengthen relationships with our parenting team, and how to take care of Baby’s physical and emotional needs.
